A fragrance that pays tribute to the legendary Bourbon vetiver, from which it takes its name. This variety is now extremely rare, as it has all but disappeared from Réunion Island, where it was once widespread. With its fresh, green, and aromatic facets, as well as earthy, mossy, and woody notes, it is the richest and most complete vetiver essence. The benchmark for quality in this ingredient. A landscape-like fragrance that evokes the harvest of the fragrant root in the morning mist, the moment this robust root is pulled from the earth—a memory of Marc-Antoine Corticchiato’s travels to the former Île Bourbon. A volcanic landscape brought back to life by the mineral facets of the Bourbon vetiver essence. Bourbon vetiver enhances the earthy character of this essence, used here in a generous dose, by blending it with the aromas of two roots: angelica, herbaceous, musky, peppery, and accented by a fiery clove from Madagascar. Added to this is the delicately woody iris, brightened by the clarity of ambrette seeds. An untamed vetiver, torn from the soil of Réunion.
