Green, green, intensely green. And black. Cardamom sparkles on bursting galbanum; pink pepper, cold and bitter, glides over lemony nutmeg. Metallic dust, I can still smell the smoky, nutty, enveloping warm aroma of fenugreek. I am certain, and yet I doubt. I flee into a cocoon of ambergris and ambroxan, but the smoke of oud and patchouli still finds me, confuses me, surrounds me. I feel in my heart the serene and angelic song of incense and sandalwood, carried on wings of muscone. I seem completely mute, yet inwardly I speak. Opus VII brings together harmony and carefree ease in a masterful green, animalic, and woody composition.
