The initial inspiration for this perfume was a wonderful trip to Wadi Darbat in southern Oman. It is a unique place in the Middle East, as all the monsoon rains coming from India take their course here. Instead of being dry and desert-like, as one might expect, this region is lush and botanically diverse: large rivers, mighty trees, and a special treasure of this region, the sidr tree. The Sidr tree has nothing in common with the cedar tree. It is an ancient tree from the Ziziphus family that produces beautiful red fruits and breathtaking flowers. Thanks to these flowers, local bees produce the richest, most exclusive, and most distinctive honey imaginable. It is extremely well-known under the name Yemeni Sidr honey. I had the opportunity to spend a few days there with a botanist and an “incense farmer,” and returned from this journey with the inspiration for Nectar. I have created a perfume that captures the various facets of Sidr honey and its natural environment.

Base notes: tonka bean, vanilla, vetiver, cedar, patchouli
