The perfumer:
Maurice Roucel began his career as a chemist at the Chanel fragrance laboratory in 1973. The self-taught perfumer describes himself as “a wandering explorer amidst formulas.” Back then, he began dissecting and studying every formula and every raw material. His perspective—half chemical, half aesthetic—remains his strength to this day. His generous style is often based on musk, white flowers, or amber. This is how he achieves the opulent sensuality that has become his trademark. Maurice Roucel has a strong personality that allows him to confidently navigate the trends of the industry.
