L'Eau d'Hiver

A fragrance just for yourself, an endless source of crisp, pure, yet warm well-being. A thoroughly delicate composition that blends the transparent eau with subtle heliotrope, iris, and honey. Jean-Claude Ellena set out to create the first “warming eau” and pushed beyond the traditional boundaries of his deliberately simple minimalism to blend the two extremes of the fragrance spectrum into a soft, fragile scent of a very special kind.

The Perfumer:
Hailing from a family of perfumers in Grasse, Jean-Claude Ellena was initiated into the secrets of the art of perfumery as a teenager. The self-taught perfumer describes his creations as “poems of memory.” Everything that has a scent—polished floors, clean sheets, skin, a favorite cardigan—is a source of inspiration for him. Although Jean-Claude Ellena never raises his voice, he makes himself perfectly understood through his simple, minimalist, and modern signature. His style is often compared to watercolors or chamber music.
