Kilian Hennessy's inspiration: Imperial Tea is a fresh and modern homage to jasmine tea. For our founder, Kilian Hennessy, travel always brings surprises, new encounters, and love. This time, the sea breeze took him to a new country where a rich tea culture has existed for centuries. He observed the production of jasmine tea with hand-picked white flowers layered on top of fermenting tea. He watched the portion of jasmine tea with floating blossoms and smelled it in a moment of timelessness and elegance.

The perfume: "Imperial Tea" is a pure, straightforward fragrance built around an accord of green tea with jasmine sambac absolute. An opening burst of bergamot and laminaria seaweed – a rare ingredient in perfumery that offers minerals and an airy balance – captures the mist of the sea air, while the fragrance lingers with root notes of vetiver oil and musk.
