Jeanne Lanvin fragrances

Jeanne Lanvin grew up as the eldest of 11 children in poor circumstances in Paris. At the age of 16, she completed an apprenticeship as a milliner and opened her own hat atelier in 1889 in the Rue de Foubourg Saint Honoré. In her later haute couture collection, colorful, youthful, feminine creations in fine fabrics, adorned with intricate embroidery become her trademark. In contrast to Coco Chanel, she favoured a romantic, playful style with long skirts. Since 1925 she has her own perfume line for her and him. Her fragrance Arpège will go down in history like the famous N0 5, as a fragrant homage to her daughter, who always played the greatest role in Jeanne Lanvin's life.
