Jean-Louis Scherrer had aspired to a career as a dancer, but had to give it up after an accident. Instead, he devoted all his efforts to haute couture. Apprenticeships with Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent fostered his understanding of classic and sophisticated fashion. In 1972 he opened his exclusive fashion studio on the famous Avenue Montaigne in Paris. In 1986 he presented Jean-Louis Scherrer, a perfume for eternity.
