As a royal and imperial purveyor to the court, Schwarzlose created legendary fragrances at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, such as 1A-33 or Treffpunkt 8 Uhr, which were known throughout Europe and overseas. In 1976, the brand disappeared from the world stage and found its way back in 2012.
The series of new perfumes by J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin includes creations that function like a mirror for modern Berlin. Designed for fragrance connoisseurs, connoisseurs and individualists, they are confident and self-assured without having to be loud, cosmopolitan and zeitgeisty, original and authentic, beyond any mainstream attitude. In other words, they are as eccentric, extravagant and dazzling as the city of Berlin. Their basis is provided by precious perfume oils in high concentration. Striking glass flacons with heavy bottoms, which bear the stamped brand logo in imitation of the historical models, are rounded off by specially handcrafted, turned brass caps.
Fragrances by J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin have an intellectuality that is liberated from the pretensions of the feuilleton. They are at once rock'n'roll and bohemian. They are extreme, addictive - they carry the heart of Berlin in every note.
